Redmond O’ Mahony BSc. Physiotherapy, MSc. Sports & Exercise Medicine.
Redmond O’Mahony is an Irish physiotherapist with over six years experience in private practice and sports physiotherapy in both Ireland and New Zealand. Redmond graduated from University College Dublin in 2009 with an honors degree in Physiotherapy and then completed an MSc. in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Trinity College Dublin in 2011-2013.
Redmond moved to the north shore in March 2015 after spending the past year on the Kapiti Coast just north of Wellington.
He has worked with athletes up to elite level in many sports including Rugby, triathlon, tennis, athletics and more. His specialties include sports injuries, athlete injury screening and sports rehabilitation.
His special interests include chronic hip and groin conditions as well as chronic low back pain. Redmond has vast experience in athlete screening and designing programs to address underlying weakness to reduce injury risk. Redmond also has an interest in bone health and managing bone related conditions, both in the younger athlete and in the older person.
